Christmas 2008!

We had a great Christmas this year! We kept it simple and tried to keep it stress free, It worked pretty much and we just had a good time doing things together! We had a BLAST doing the 12 days of Christmas for Three families in our ward! That had to be the highlight of our Christmas! It is always funner to do something for someone else, and we enjoyed every minute of that! Bryson is the master at the "Ring and Run"!! Even when it is snowing and got pretty slick, he managed to hang on and hightail it outta there before he ever got caught! It was sooo fun! We will definitely have to do that again!

Ahhhh, the anticipation of Christmas morning, we always make Bryson wait on the stairs while we go turn on the Christmas music and lights and it about kills him! Ü Hee hee, Sweet torture!!

He got a radio controlled Monster Truck! Monster trucks are what he is into these days, so he LOVED it! Can ya tell by that goofy grin? Ü

Johns sisters spoil us rotten, we got this really cool ice-cream maker that does not even use salt! It is all electric and you just freeze the bowl before you start! How cool is that! We also got a gift certificate that we were able to go get some things that we have been needing, OH AND! We got this REALLY cool 1830's replica of the Book of Mormon! It has no chapter and verse! It is fabulous! We loved All our gifts! We have some wonderful family! They are all so good to us!

The Nelson's Gave Bryson some way cool, old times games that are really fun! (The old ones always are!) this set has "Pick up Sticks", "Domino's", and "Jax's" I used to play those all the time as a kid so it was fun for me to show him how to do all that!

Bryson LOVES pocket knifes and the Hendricks gave him these cool ones that have wolves on them, he LOVED them!! Such a spoiled kid! Ü

By the time Hunter got to our house he was pretty much an expert at opening presents!

It was so fun watching him and the expressions he would get! Just watching him gives this grandma a lot of joy! Ü He is just too cute!

Awwwww, They boy DOES love cars!! Yup! he is ALL boy! I LOVE to watch him stand at the couch and drive his little cars all over it, My brother Steven, used to do that for HOURS! I think every boy must do that! Ü

Hunter is trying his hand at one of our new games! "Say it" It's really fun! I think Hunter just liked the lights and sounds it made! Ü

Here are the kids playing another new game we got, "Cosmic Catch", that is fun too! You wear a colored wrist band and somehow the ball knows who is holding it! It gives out commands and you have to do what it says or you're out! Hunter is cheering them on, and notice who has to be RIGHT in the middle of everything! Ya! The short fluffy one! Ü It was so much fun having the kids over, we just enjoy every moment we get to spend with them! We had a Great Christmas! We are so blessed!

Mr. B is Bored!

YES! Mr. B is board! School is out for Christmas break and he is looking for something to do, Read on.............

..............As some of you know, we lost our beloved Gilda Goose a few years back! She was our watchdog goose that stood vigil on our porch for many years, but due to an unfortunate accident she lost her head in a violent windstorm AND she got a big hole in her left wing when she skidded across the cement! It was awful and we mourned her something awful! But I have to tell you she was THEE best dressed goose this side of the Mississippi and she always seemed proud to stand her post! But ever since her accident we have just not been able to bring ourselves to get rid of her pimped out wardrobe! WELL, Mr. B found those clothes in a closet he was cleaning out, (That will teach him never to tell ME he is board! Ü) and he gets this bright idea that they will look great on Zoe! I mean she IS about the same size as our Gilda was! Soooo, the resulting pictures are Mr. B's hay day with Zoe's fashion show debut! Ü I wish I had a movie of her running around in these outfits cuz THAT was hysterical!! She did have a few problems with some of the outfits because it seems that our little Zoe has a MUCH bigger head than our Gilda did, so getting some of the outfits over her head were impossible! An I took mercy on the poor girl and only took pictures of these two outfits, but oh my!!! Check it out.......

Zoe in a swimsuit! Her little boobies are actually a bit lower, and she has SIX of them but this is an ok cover up! Ü To bad the matching inner tube wouldn't fit over her head!

Doncha, love the hat?!? Ü Oh boy! Doesn't she look happy!

Here she is all dressed up for the holidays! The hat looks like it was made for a pin head--oh ya, Gilda pretty much DID have a pin head! but it still looks cute on her! Ü

Zoe didn't mind this one so much, she was pretty cozy in Mr. B's Santa hat! She'd pretty much had it with the fashion show!

SNOW! In vegas!! NO REALLY!!

Yes! We actually had Snow here in December! Some places like Henderson got a LOT of snow, they actually had to Shovel snow out of there driveways and stuff! We just got a little on our end of town, but it was enough to stick! Mr. B's snowball was pretty weak but it was a genuine snowball none the less!! Ü That silly boy thought he was going to throw it at me! HA! I got him first! To bad it was so dark, (Well it WAS nighttime!) we could have gotten some good pictures! But as you will see in the next batch of pictures, the nighttime is the ONLY time the snow stayed at our house! *big sigh*

HAA HAA!! YES! This IS a snowman! A short one, but it IS a snowman made from the snow on the trampoline! I know all you Utah and Idaho people are thinking this is a pretty pathetic snowman but it was quite the deal for us! Ü

As you can see the trampoline didn't quite get covered all the way, it was a very wet snow so right in the middle it was more of a puddle, or as you can see in the next picture..........

...Mr. B named it the Black hole!! Ü Very fitting indeed!

Zoe was absolutely LOVING the snow! It was stinking freezing outside and she was running through it like.....well, like a pup in the snow! Ü Silly dog! She HATES to go out in the cold to go potty but she was running and playing in the snow like she had just got a bone for Christmas! It was so funny to watch her! Ü

Where'd The Snow Go?

And this is what it looked like the next day! The sun was shining and the snow was all gone! WHAAA! But it was fun while it lasted!

My What big eyes you have!! Ü

Hunter and Zoe had a blast playing on the Warm mat of the trampoline! I think Zoe is dancing! Ü

Graduation day is FINALLY here! Ü

Before Graduation began, I actually got all the Aird men in one spot! What handsome little devils! Ü

Brock and Aryann before the ceremonies begin! OH the anticipation of goal well done! Ü

Hunter is checking everything out before it starts, and is wondering why his mom and dad are sitting so far away! He likes Grandpa Campbell though, and as long as he has his blanket everything is cool! Ü
And here they are.....the 2008 Graduating Class of Las Vegas' Newest RN's! Whooo hoooo!! Ü Brock is the first one on the front row, far left, sitting down behind the podium!

How Cool was this that Brock got nominated by his peers to be the Master of Ceremonies! He did a GREAT job! I guess having leadership positions on your mission helps with this kind of stuff! Ü It seemed like a piece of cake for him! Ü Way to go Son!

The Pinning!

What and exciting moment to be able to be rewarded for all your hard work, and to have the love of your life be able to walk with you is even better!

Getting a moment to relish in the accomplishment as they say a few thank you's! What a fun night!

Finally The pinning! I think Aryann endured just as much as Brock did going through school, she is the one that held down the fort and supported him every step of the way! It was very fitting that she be the one to get to do the Pinning! She really takes care of Brock! They BOTH worked hard and justly deserve this moment of recognition! As you can see by Aryann's tummy, Hope is starting to make her appearance! (Finally Ü) Lucky girl she got to walk with her daddy too! I think Hunter was a little jealous! Ü

Ok, So I was hoping I could have put up the video clip of all the students reciting the Nurses pledge but for some reason it would not upload on here, they had the light off and were holding little spotlights so it was really dark any way, so I just put up a clip of one of the administrators speaking! I thought she did a great job! It WAS really cool to hear them all recite the pledge though! In 1899 the International Council of Nurses was founded in Geneva, Switzerland. This pledge affirms the common goals of all nurses around the world. Here is what they all recited together:

Nurses Pledge

In the full knowledge of the task I am undertaking,
I promise to take care of the sick with all the skill and
understanding I possess, without regard to race,
creed, color, politics, or social status, sparing no
effort to conserve life, to alleviate suffering, and
promote health.

I will respect at all times the dignity and religious
beliefs of the patients entrusted in my care,
holding in confidence all personal information
entrusted to me and refraining from any action
which might endanger life or health,

I will endeavor to keep my professional knowledge and
skill at the highest level and give loyal support and
cooperation to all members of the health team.
So can you see the relief and Happiness on this face that school is FINALLY over! Ü Hunter on the other hand is just tired! But way to go Brock! We are so proud of you and your accomplishments! After it was over we all went to dinner at Macyos, YUM! We haven't been there for a long time, but it used to be Brock's favorite place growing up, the waitresses knew he name there even! Ü Jess, Aryann's dad surprised us all and paid for everyone's dinner! OH MY HECK those are some nice people! We had a good time visiting with them and it was just a wonderful day! And WHEW!!! Brock did it! He's done!!!.......for a while! Ü

Pictures of our new Grandbaby! Ü

This is one of the best profiles I have seen on an ultra sound that is not 3D, isn't this baby cute?!
And look at the sweet little hand, isn't that so precious? And guess what? It's a GIRL! it's a GIRL! It's a GIRL!!! We are sooooo excited to be welcoming a sweet baby girl into our family, there has not been a "Baby Girl Aird" for almost 64 years! So how fun will THAT be!?! And how can we stand it till April! Ü Oh happy day!!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

So, is this pretty or WHAT? Was it worth being the wicked task master, Hummm?? Well I'm thinkin' so, but I'm not so sure if Bryson is thinking so! Ü BUT whooo hooo! it IS cause to celebrate!! Ü I guess we will do that tomorrow for his birthday! Anyway I am so proud of Bryson for working hard and sticking with it, sometimes I DO work him really long hours, but it is paying off! WAY TO GO BRYSON! and congrats on that good looking report card! Love you buddy!

Well, another Halloween come and gone!! Whew! Bryson went all out this year! Ü He was half Angel---half Devil!! Ü But full on he looks more like he is going to a Nebraska Cornhuskers Football game! Hee hee!!

Man Does Zoe ever love these rawhide bones! She chews on them like there is no tomorrow! Look how she holds them in her little paws! And forget about even getting near her when she is eating one, if she thinks you are going to take it away from her, she is off like a shot!! She is so funny with that thing!

Zoe was getting shaggy again so it was off to the groomers with her! This time she came back sporting a purple scarf and some Halloween "Boo" bows! I have to say, she looked pretty darn cute! Going there wears her right out though and she is sooo happy to be home all snuggy in her little bed!

Here is Bryson at another scout activity, working on his Indian Lore Merit badge! He enjoyed the Indian Fry bread that Brother Walker made, but he didn't care for the lamb stew! Ewww! Ü At least he was able to smile for the camera! Ü Look at those missionaries, they'll eat anything!! HAA HAA!!

Bryson got to go to SWAT headquarters for scouts, and got to see inside all the big trucks! He said it was pretty cool! He is one of only TWO deacons, but that will soon change on November 7th when he becomes a teacher! AAAAAAA!!! Pray for me! Ü These are his leaders, he has some really good ones who are trying to make sure he stays on top of his merit badges!
