WARNING! Don't look if you have a weak stomach! Ü

Ok so these are the pictures we took while we were changing the bandage BEFORE John's surgery! I actually thought it didn't look too bad, at least it still had the nail, and looked only slightly grotesque! Ü NOTHING like I imagined it to be though when he called me and told me he cut his finger off!! Although Johns says it looks way better to him too since all he could see was bone when HE looked at it the first time!! Ü Ewww Owwww! And speaking of EWWWWW OUCH! we got the hospital bill today, it was over $3500!!! Holy Hanna!! Thank goodness insurance, but I think it is ridiculous the charges that were on the bill! $149.00 for 1, count um ONE GRAM of ointment they put on John's finger! Man who can afford to be sick these days?!? UGH! I'm thinking 4 bucks for a GALLON of gas really isn't too bad A?

Now THESE pictures, on the other hand, were taken when John went in for his follow up AFTER his surgery! Oye vay! Now THESE give me the willies, seeing that pin hanging out the end, and not having a nail any more!, But the doc said it was healing, and since the pin had moved he just decided to take it out! YIKES! When he took and X-ray he said the bone was back were it needed to be anyway, so with the splint they made it should heal nicely and he should have a nail back in 6 to 8 month's! Anyway, John is doing well, and getting along just fine! What a stud! He puts on a dental glove to take a shower and that works great! Anyway, thanks to all those who were worried about him and have asked how he was doing! Now you know! It's nice to know people care! Ü Sorry they are not that great of quality, John took them with his cell phone at the doctors while it was unwrapped! Oooh, hope it isn't lunch time for anyone right now! Ü

Shalae said...: Yowsa! That's pretty nasty. Hey, Marchelle. Just catching up. My wife found your blog the other day so I thought I'd check out how things are going with you. My wife pretty much keeps up with the blog stuff, and I just come and read when she finds the good stuff. I must say though, this blog stuff is great for keeping up with the lives of your loved ones. A Little About The Airds

Welcome to the Aird Family Blog! Come on in and sit a spell, we are basically just some down to earth folks that love, God, family, and all our good friends, we like food once in a while too, which we might just happen to talk about on here from time to time too! You know, Share recipes, that kind of stuff! I have recently discovered some of the best spices in the world, so if you're nice I will share those with you too! ˚Ü˚ Here is a little bit about our family! I, Marchelle, and mom of the fam, love anything that has to do with computers, so it will be me who does the updating of this blog, although John is my proof reader so if there are mistakes, it's HIS fault! ˚Ü˚ Who's John? Well, John is THEE best husband and father in the whole world! Yup! He Sure is! We have two wonderful boys, Brock, and Bryson, and we also have a beautiful daughter-in-law, Aryann, who is the BEST mother to our Grandson Hunter! Who I must say, is the cutest baby on the planet!! ˚Ü˚ Ummmhum, he sure is!! And I'm sure he is the smartest too! ˚Ü˚We also have the cutest little puppy on the whole planet too! She is a little shitsu, (ya ok, I know that's not the right spelling but my proof reader is in bed) Terrier Mix, She brings us lots of joy and laughter! ...So how can we have such a perfect family........Just lucky I guess! FAVORITE RECIPE OF THE WEEK!

Roasted Red Bell Pepper Bruschetta

SERVINGS: 8

INGREDIENTS:

1 loaf French bread, sliced on the diagonal
Wildtree Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil
1/3 cup Wildtree Roasted Red Bell Pepper Blend
1/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup Wildtree Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil

PREPARATION:

Brush the bread slices with Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil and arrange on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown. Combine the Roasted Red Bell Pepper Pesto Blend with the warm water in a bowl and mix well. Add 1/4 cup Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil and mix well, adding additional oil if necessary to reach the desired consistency. Spread on the toasted bread slices.

Serve with Parmesan cheese shavings. You may substitute Wildtree Natural Grapeseed Oil for the Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil if desired.

Cream Cheese Squares

SERVINGS: 12

INGREDIENTS:

2 (8-count) packages crescent rolls
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 (.8-ounce) package Wildtree Pumpkin Cheesecake Blend
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
2 teaspoons milk
Dash of vanilla extract

PREPARATION:

Layer 1 package of crescent rolls in a 9x13-inch glass baking dish, pressing the edges together to form 1 layer. Combine half the cream cheese with the Pumpkin Cheesecake Blend and sugar in a bowl and mix until blended. Spread over the crescent roll layer. Spread with the remaining cream cheese. Top with the remaining crescent rolls, pressing the edges together to form the top layer.

Bake at 325 to 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Combine the confectioners' sugar, milk and vanilla in a bowl and mix well. Drizzle over the warm baked layer. Cut into squares.

WILDTREE TIP: This recipe can be made with any of the Wildtree Cheesecake Blends.
