Ok, So I was hoping I could have put up the video clip of all the students reciting the Nurses pledge but for some reason it would not upload on here, they had the light off and were holding little spotlights so it was really dark any way, so I just put up a clip of one of the administrators speaking! I thought she did a great job! It WAS really cool to hear them all recite the pledge though! In 1899 the International Council of Nurses was founded in Geneva, Switzerland. This pledge affirms the common goals of all nurses around the world. Here is what they all recited together:

Nurses Pledge

In the full knowledge of the task I am undertaking,
I promise to take care of the sick with all the skill and
understanding I possess, without regard to race,
creed, color, politics, or social status, sparing no
effort to conserve life, to alleviate suffering, and
promote health.

I will respect at all times the dignity and religious
beliefs of the patients entrusted in my care,
holding in confidence all personal information
entrusted to me and refraining from any action
which might endanger life or health,

I will endeavor to keep my professional knowledge and
skill at the highest level and give loyal support and
cooperation to all members of the health team.
So can you see the relief and Happiness on this face that school is FINALLY over! Ü Hunter on the other hand is just tired! But way to go Brock! We are so proud of you and your accomplishments! After it was over we all went to dinner at Macyos, YUM! We haven't been there for a long time, but it used to be Brock's favorite place growing up, the waitresses knew he name there even! Ü Jess, Aryann's dad surprised us all and paid for everyone's dinner! OH MY HECK those are some nice people! We had a good time visiting with them and it was just a wonderful day! And WHEW!!! Brock did it! He's done!!!.......for a while! Ü

Pictures of our new Grandbaby! Ü

This is one of the best profiles I have seen on an ultra sound that is not 3D, isn't this baby cute?!
And look at the sweet little hand, isn't that so precious? And guess what? It's a GIRL! it's a GIRL! It's a GIRL!!! We are sooooo excited to be welcoming a sweet baby girl into our family, there has not been a "Baby Girl Aird" for almost 64 years! So how fun will THAT be!?! And how can we stand it till April! Ü Oh happy day!!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

So, is this pretty or WHAT? Was it worth being the wicked task master, Hummm?? Well I'm thinkin' so, but I'm not so sure if Bryson is thinking so! Ü BUT whooo hooo! it IS cause to celebrate!! Ü I guess we will do that tomorrow for his birthday! Anyway I am so proud of Bryson for working hard and sticking with it, sometimes I DO work him really long hours, but it is paying off! WAY TO GO BRYSON! and congrats on that good looking report card! Love you buddy!

Well, another Halloween come and gone!! Whew! Bryson went all out this year! Ü He was half Angel---half Devil!! Ü But full on he looks more like he is going to a Nebraska Cornhuskers Football game! Hee hee!!

Man Does Zoe ever love these rawhide bones! She chews on them like there is no tomorrow! Look how she holds them in her little paws! And forget about even getting near her when she is eating one, if she thinks you are going to take it away from her, she is off like a shot!! She is so funny with that thing!

Zoe was getting shaggy again so it was off to the groomers with her! This time she came back sporting a purple scarf and some Halloween "Boo" bows! I have to say, she looked pretty darn cute! Going there wears her right out though and she is sooo happy to be home all snuggy in her little bed!

Here is Bryson at another scout activity, working on his Indian Lore Merit badge! He enjoyed the Indian Fry bread that Brother Walker made, but he didn't care for the lamb stew! Ewww! Ü At least he was able to smile for the camera! Ü Look at those missionaries, they'll eat anything!! HAA HAA!!

Bryson got to go to SWAT headquarters for scouts, and got to see inside all the big trucks! He said it was pretty cool! He is one of only TWO deacons, but that will soon change on November 7th when he becomes a teacher! AAAAAAA!!! Pray for me! Ü These are his leaders, he has some really good ones who are trying to make sure he stays on top of his merit badges!

A few weeks ago Bryson got to go to grandma Barney's house with his uncle Donnell & Aunt Wendy, and Grandpa & Grandma Brox! He had a BLAST! He got to go four wheeling and hiking, and shooting, and came back with lots of treasures including the shells, the can that he shot full of holes, the HUGE bruise he had on his shin from the four wheeler, AND a lucky horseshoe! Whooo hooo, good lucky is abounding now! Ü He really had a good time with everyone up there!

Here's Zoe sporting a new doo! Ü it's pretty bad when you want a girl so bad that you have to resort to braiding the dogs hair! BWHAAA HAA!! Just kidding, it's great entertainment to do that and watch her try to get out of it! Ü -(No cruelty to animals was done when taking these pictures!)

Ok it has been a long time since I did an update on here so bare with me! I will start with John's finger! EWWW! But look how much better it looks! The gauze has actually fallen off and his nail is starting to grow back, it is about a quarter of the way up his nail bed so far! Yipee! Ü It will probably always have a dent on the side though, but wow, isn't the human body so amazing in how it can heal after such trauma? Yup! the pinkie is lookin' good, lookin' good! Ü Man! That's a LOOONG pinkie idinit? Ü

A day at the Groomers!

Poor Zoe, she just KNEW something was up this morning when John got up and put her harness on and asked her if she wanted to go for a ride! She LOVES to go places with us, but she knew something was different today, something outta the norm! And boy did she ever "lay it on thick" with the big sad puppy dog eyes! like, PLEASE don't leave me here! But our little Zoe has been looking a wee bit shaggy these days, so it was off to the groomers she went! She goes to "Man's Best Friend" which do a WAAAAY better job than pet's mart! She has been there twice now, and they do a great job! They said she was even good this time! I guess that's what a little maturity does for ya A? Anyway, look at how dang cute she looks! I think she lost two pounds of fluff though, and she only weighed 5 to begin with!! She is SUCH a princess!!~~~ NOT!!! As soon as I took that picture she shook her head and her bows went flying, and she tried to chew off her scarf! Ü But ya gotta admit that she looked like a princess for a minute there A? I swear she actually posed for the camera! I guess she knows how much I want a girlie girl! Ü BUT in reality her favorite thing to do is wrestle with the boys at night, or chase Bryson around the house acting like his mother when he does something she knows he shouldn't, like getting on the kitchen countertop! It is hysterical to listen to her giving him an earful! She does NOT quit till he gets down either! Anyway, I now present to you the cutest, perfectly groomed puppers on the planet~~~~~ Miss Zoe! ÜAm I cute, Huh?
Look down and show us your bows! Good Girl! Ü
Say Cheese Please!

WARNING! Don't look if you have a weak stomach! Ü

Ok so these are the pictures we took while we were changing the bandage BEFORE John's surgery! I actually thought it didn't look too bad, at least it still had the nail, and looked only slightly grotesque! Ü NOTHING like I imagined it to be though when he called me and told me he cut his finger off!! Although Johns says it looks way better to him too since all he could see was bone when HE looked at it the first time!! Ü Ewww Owwww! And speaking of EWWWWW OUCH! we got the hospital bill today, it was over $3500!!! Holy Hanna!! Thank goodness insurance, but I think it is ridiculous the charges that were on the bill! $149.00 for 1, count um ONE GRAM of ointment they put on John's finger! Man who can afford to be sick these days?!? UGH! I'm thinking 4 bucks for a GALLON of gas really isn't too bad A?

Now THESE pictures, on the other hand, were taken when John went in for his follow up AFTER his surgery! Oye vay! Now THESE give me the willies, seeing that pin hanging out the end, and not having a nail any more!, But the doc said it was healing, and since the pin had moved he just decided to take it out! YIKES! When he took and X-ray he said the bone was back were it needed to be anyway, so with the splint they made it should heal nicely and he should have a nail back in 6 to 8 month's! Anyway, John is doing well, and getting along just fine! What a stud! He puts on a dental glove to take a shower and that works great! Anyway, thanks to all those who were worried about him and have asked how he was doing! Now you know! It's nice to know people care! Ü Sorry they are not that great of quality, John took them with his cell phone at the doctors while it was unwrapped! Oooh, hope it isn't lunch time for anyone right now! Ü

Ya! It's all fun and games till someone loses a finger!

Ooowa, such a big BooBoo!
Trying to play the sympathy card! Poor little pitiful thing!
Zoe trying to comfort the wounded!
OH what a day! ~~Well, It started out good, but at approximately 1:10pm today something went terribly wrong! Nobody knows what really happened, no, not even John! One minute he was getting out of his car, and the the next minute his little finger was slammed in the car door and he instinctively tried to jerk it away, only with it being tightly wedged in the car door, that just did more damage! OWWWIE! So I get a phone call, it’s John saying he needs our insurance card because he is standing there at Quick Care “holding his finger on” bleeding to death! WHAT?!? Well of course Quick Care will NOT just take the number off the card, that would be too easy, so I am frantically trying to copy the dumb card and get it faxed over there so they will at least look at him! The first two times it would NOT go through, then it was too dark to see! UGH!! What a night mare! I finally get it faxed and after waiting some more they FINALLY looked at it, and said, "Ewww, this is too big for us, you need to go to a hospital emergency room and see a hand surgeon! WHAT THE CRAP! Soooo he drives himself across the street to St. Rose hospital and of course, waits and waits again! Thank goodness he remembered to take the copy of the insurance card that I had sent to quick care, so at least they saw him when it was his turn! BUT the Hand surgeon is no where to be found! They hook him up to an antibiotic IV, but as I am talking to him on the phone, he looks down and says, "CRAP the IV is leaking out and I am bleeding everywhere! Then he starts yelling at a nurse to come help him but no one was hearing him!! Sheeeeese! NOT a fun way to spend the day! I felt so bad for him, but he would not let me come get him! they finally came in and took x-rays and tried to put his finger back together, then told him to make an appointment with the hand specialist tomorrow! The very end of his finger is broken into a bunch of little bone chips, OUCH! And his nail bed was gone with just bone exposed so he may never get his nail back on that little pinkie, although he did try to put the nail bed back, but we'll see what the hand doctor says tomorrow! They put his finger back the best they could and put a bandage on him that King Tut would have been proud of, and sent him on his way! Did he come straight home and crash?!? NO! He went to see his last doctor, THEN went to the pharmacy, THEN came home!! Sheeeeese! He says he is fine, and we are just so thankful that it was not any worse! When he called all I could see in my mind was him chopping his finger clean off and it lying on the ground wiggling around!! Oye Vay!! So even if it doesn't work very good, it is STILL there and it IS just his pinkie on his left hand so Whew, it really could have been worse! I asked him if it was painful and he said the time it hurt the worse was when they poured the betadine over it to clean it out, he said that about sent him into orbit, but as it is, the pain is nothing that some ibuprofen can't handle! He is such a stud A?! The worst part about the whole experience was that he lost his debit card at the Quick Care place so we had to cancel that! What a pain! it takes a whole week to get another one! But I am just grateful that he is ok, and got home safely! Zoe was sooo concerned and curious about the big white bandage on his finger, She tried to dig it off of him, but as you can see by the picture she was giving him some some extra TLC tonight! I guess I better go give him some too, poor baby! Ü Anyway that was our drama for the day! Sooooo have you hugged your husband lately, cuz ya never know when he might lose a finger! Ü

A bad habit in the making!

We have discovered that our little Zoe LOVES to chew on Rawhide Bones! Actually I don't think the word love even does it justice, the girl is obsessed when she gets this treat! If she even THINKS you are coming near here to take it away, so bolts like lightning in last weeks thunder storm! It is so funny! she is VERY possessive of her tasty little morsels, but hello! She looks like a drunken sailor smoking on an old stogie! (an inexpensive slender cylindrical cigar, in case you were wondering) Not sure if I like that look, or the way it makes her breath smell like wet leather, but as you can see below that when we tried to do some intervention, Zoe was NOT happy! She hung on to that puppy with all the might her little 5 pound body could muster! I think she would have taken off a finger had John not let go! So I guess for now we have to accept that fact that our sweet little puppy is growing up and acquiring bad habits of her own! What ever shall we do? Any suggestions on breaking bad habits would be greatly appreciated! Ü

Zoe and the Adventures of the Killer Zuchinni!

ok, so I go to my activities meeting the other night and Harley walker is there ready to shower us with the abundance of Zucchini from his garden! Well I'm good with that I love zucchini, and this is a giant zucchini, but OH MY HEAVENS!! You would have thought I had brought a nuclear missile into the house, the way Zoe was acting towards it! She was having an absolute cow! She would run up to it all brave like, barking her little head off, until John would wiggle it and then she would about jump outta her skin! It was soooo hysterical! I think she must have felt threatened because the darn thing was pertnear bigger than she is! Ü I think it DID weigh more than her because she is mostly fluff! It was so funny watching her play with it! She would paw at it until it rolled over and when it moved it scared the crap outta her, and she would jump back about 10 feet, in one big leap! It was really fun and great entertainment for about 30 minutes.... then we all got board and went to watch TV! HA!! CHA RIGHT! like that was going to happen! She barked at that Zucchini on top the counter for another 20 minutes! We thought she was going to go hoarse or we were going to go deaf, we had to think of something fast! So I hid her eyes and John snuck the darn thing into the fridge, so she couldn't see where it was! Had she seen, I'm sure she would STILL be sitting in front of the fridge barking her head off challenging that big green monster to come out and take it like a man! I'm sure she would have bitten it's head right off! As it was she looked EVERYWHERE for it! Hummm, I'm feeling like Zucchini tonight! I wonder if Zoe wants some too! Ü

You be the judge!

Ok so we were wondering the other day just who Hunter looks like! I have always thought that he looked a lot like Aryann's brother, Tyler, and had NO Aird in him at all, until I found THIS picture of John on his mom's lap! So whadda ya think, is there a little resemblance or what?!?! And now we know where he gets that redish blond hair! Ü

Yea!!! Bryson made it back from scout camp in one piece! I hope the leaders did too! No kidding, he came back and inch taller, 10 pounds lighter (they had to walk EVERYWHERE) and about three shades darker! Ü He said he had a lot of fun, and only got board a couple of times! I said, "That's better than staying home and being board ALL the time!" Ü He said he only got cold once, and he was happy to have a friend with him this year! He traded something for a cool knife but the thing he brought home that he was most excited about was an Arizona State Quarter for his quarter collection! ˚Ü˚ All I can say is he is going to sleep good tonight!

Home from scout camp, you just drop and crash! Bryson has that perfected!
